Footdrill

Hello People!

After 1 1/2 years since the last footdrill in our Sec2 July, our footdrill session has finally come!
What an ~Exhilarating~, **Exciting** and ^^Captivating^^ activity footdrill session is! A time of our lives! I just can't emphasize how fun it was! Certainly the time of our lives!!

Ok for those who don't really understand sarcasm, footdrill is boring. But it is something that we HAVE to do, because of all those "cool, hip, and trendy" Muster Parades which have come our way. Meanwhile for your information, the SU did pioneering.

So, before we did our footdrill, we did our stylo-milo Muster Parade. We did a dry run which lasted until somewhere at 4.15pm. Then the proper thing ended at 4.30pm.

Then, we were given a leisure time of 7 minutes to change up to PE from Scout Uniform. I am not being sarcastic here as 7 minutes is much more than what we are usually given. I even got some spare time to patronise the water-cooler =D

The goal of the footdrill can be easily explained by the simple diagram below:

(Rojak) to (some impressive army)

So, we practised our footdrill with Wayne, Chuyong and Zhixuan as timers. We practised a lot of commands, which I don't know how to spell nor pronounce. We learned sedia senangdiri, moving left right front back by 1/2/3 steps, size up commands, marching, turning right, left, and 180 degrees static footdrill. Although this was to us challenging, I tell you that the other uniformed groups with the exception of 01 (us) and 02 scouts, do more advanced footdrill EVERY session. We do it like once a year =D

After the end of footdrill, we didn't exactly achieve our goals of being some impressive army. But all the stamping of feet and marching on the spot allowed us to priviledged access to various facilities with this label :

Yea, our legs tanhuan-ed. Anyway, frankly, we felt that our footdrill improved quite a lot after all the hard work, but there is certainly room for improvement. I mean if those NCC cadets still have room for improvement, and they spend at least 2 hours a week on footdrill for EVERY week in their year, you get what I mean. But since the focus of scouting isn't on impressive footdrill, so I doubt anyone would really care about it. I think that those 5-10m high structures we build totally prawns footdrill. Everyone agree?

Ok, tata for now. Please blog actively and don't let the blog die out!
