Pole Management & VEXCO meeting

Yesterday, Sarun continued on his QM regime and began working on the poles at Braddell Westlake Secondary School. We re-painted all the poles and re-marked their heights, since their colour was fading and the height measurements were mostly grossly inaccurate.

5 hours under the hot sun and we were rewarded with an arsenal of much better-looking poles which are now more organised and easier to pick out. Of course, that wasn't the only reward -- the entire troupe was presented with 8 bottles of soft drinks. =)

Following the activity the members of the VEXCO could only take a breather before proceeding on with the meeting at 2:50. It would be the first VEXCO meeting for the year where many issues were to be discussed in depth, and as a mark of how seriously we took the meeting, we all reported for the meeting in full scout uniform.

As expected, the meeting ran over time with many new issues brought up. Since the blog is open to the public, details and minutes of the meeting will not be posted here. However, all can be said is that we had a very fruitful meeting which lasted for about 2 and a half hours. =)

After Jeremy declared the meeting close at 5:35 thereabouts, the ventures went off for soccer, albeit having already spent so much energy for the day.

It seems Chu Yong is really an energizer bunny. >_>
